Former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns, an alliantgroup Strategic Advisory Board member and the alliantgroup Chairman of Agriculture, was recently able to share his perspective on trade issues currently coming between the U.S. and China.
Johanns, who also served as a U.S. Senator and the Governor of Nebraska, was quoted by the Omaha World-Herald in the paper’s Jan. 22 article, “Former Ag Secretary Mike Johanns says China is feeling pressure to make trade deal.”
According to Johanns, the agriculture industry is feeling the impacts of the recently imposed trade tariffs, but noted that it is necessary for the U.S. to address the trade issues between the two countries.
