alliantgroup’s Chairman of Agriculture and former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns appeared on Adams on Agriculture, a radio show produced by the American AG Radio Network, to discuss the administration’s trade policies and the current prospects for passing pending farm bill legislation.

Recognizing that the administration’s policies have caused across the board trade disputes, Johanns noted that the impact of these clashes has been particularly hard on the American agriculture sector.

“I just think that agriculture is in the crosshairs,” said Johanns. “My hope is that the administration is doing everything they can to keep the lines of communication open and is willing to work with China, the European Union, Canada, and Mexico [to] work through these issues.”

“Secretary Johanns is a foremost thought-leader and an advocate for the American agriculture industry,” said alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav. “I encourage everyone to listen to his deep insight on these issues.”
