alliantgroup to Host Webinar for Contractors on Tax Incentives for Services Performed to Government Buildings

alliantgroup Director of Energy Credits and Incentives Andy Gerstenhaber and National Director Valerie Ward will be hosting a free webinar entitled “Contractors: Benefits for Working on Government Buildings” November 1 at 12:00 pm CT.

Gerstenhaber and Ward will discuss how businesses can take advantage of the Section 179D deduction by making HVAC, interior lighting or envelope improvements to government-owned buildings such as K-12 schools, universities, hospitals, stadiums, offices, and correctional facilities. For renovations and retrofits that improve energy-efficiency, business owners can receive a deduction of up to $1.80 per square foot.

“The 179D deduction presents a powerful opportunity for business owners, and any business that has done prior work to a government-owned building such as a public school should immediately find out if they qualify,” said alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav. “Andy and Valerie have helped businesses claim this deduction for years, and I am so excited they have the opportunity to share their valuable insights with contractors and construction business owners.”
