alliantgroup’s Chairman of Ag, Mike Johanns, Receives Distinguished Nebraskan Award

Mike Johanns, alliantgroup’s Chairman of Agriculture and former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture, was recently honored by the Nebraska Society of Washington, D.C. with its annual Distinguished Nebraskan Award.

Johanns has more than 30 years of public service and is a former Governor and U.S. Senator for the state of Nebraska. He joined the alliantgroup team earlier this year and became its first Chairman of Agriculture.

In his role at alliantgroup, he is the firm’s main advisor in its outreach to agricultural companies on the various tax credits and incentives they qualify for. Johanns also provides valuable insight on the inner workings of Washington and updates on potential policy changes to the firm’s clients, CPA partners and industry alliances.

“I would like to congratulate Secretary Johanns for receiving this distinguished award,” said alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav. “Governor Mike Johanns has long been recognized as an excellent public servant and a true champion for rural America. I’m so happy to have him onboard at alliantgroup and I am looking forward to his contributions to the future of our firm.”
