alliantgroup announced today that it is expanding the firm’s STEM scholarship program to include students throughout the state of Texas.
The program is available to recent high school students and offers five $10,000 scholarships for the fall semester of 2017 to students pursuing a career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) related fields. To be eligible for the scholarship, students need to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0.
“STEM-oriented fields are truly the future of our economy, yet study after study shows that the U.S. is suffering from a serious shortage in the number of people entering the workforce with a strong STEM skillset. Considering the importance of STEM-based skills to employers now and in the future, we decided to change the program to focus more on steering students toward STEM related degrees at an earlier age,” said alliantgroup CEO Dhaval Jadav.
To apply, candidates need to create a short (30-120 second) video discussing how their passion for STEM has fueled their educational goals.
