alliantgroup’s Dean Zerbe Releases Statement on the President’s Budget

National Managing Director at alliantgroup Dean Zerbe released his statement on the president’s proposed budget. As in all previous cases, the initial proposal by the president has a small chance of getting approved by Congress. The budget does, however, provide a clear view into the White House’s priorities and policies they’re interested in pursuing.

His full statement can be read on alliantgroup.com.

“Above all else, the White House is seeking to reduce federal spending, with the administration’s budget projected to reduce spending by $3.6 trillion over the next 10 years” said Dean Zerbe. “The main takeaway in all of this however is that the president will need to lean on Congress to push through his priorities—be it comprehensive tax reform or any of the items discusses above. In the end, the president’s relationship with Congress will determine his ultimate success.”
