Robert M. Russell has joined alliantgroup LP as an attorney in its Washington office, where he focuses on international tax controversy, planning, and policy. Most recently, he served as visiting counsel to the Joint Committee on Taxation. Previously, he worked in international examinations for the IRS Large Business and International Division. Russell, a CPA, earned his JD from Illinois Institute of Technology Chicago-Kent College of Law, his LLM from Georgetown University Law Center, and a certificate in comparative tax policy and administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
